Delta / A-B Matrix is a Max for Live device designed for precise, system-wide A/B comparison inside Ableton Live.
Instead of bypassing one plugin at a time, Delta Matrix lets you select multiple devices and chains across your entire Live set and toggle them instantly between processed and unprocessed states. This makes it possible to evaluate real mix decisions in context, not in isolation.
The device scans your session, builds a structured overview of all tracks, return tracks, and the master, and allows you to choose exactly which elements should be part of the comparison. Devices and racks are controlled via their enable state, while chains are handled through precise mute logic, ensuring consistent and predictable switching.
Placed on the master as the final device, Delta Matrix captures the full signal path, giving you an accurate before/after comparison of your processing. This approach avoids misleading level or routing differences that often occur with traditional A/B methods.
A dedicated interface provides a clear matrix-style view with hierarchical navigation, selection filtering, and per-device control. You can toggle everything globally with a single action or adjust individual elements when needed.
